These battles can be harder then before, and was done on purpose to make the battles not too easy to go through.
Best option is to bring a pokemon that has poison status ailment moves for an easy solo sweep.

Raiding get's a system overhaul soon
We're currently offline testing the new raid system.
The new system features an actual battle system.
This means, you can solo raids way faster then before, for instance.
